All textures and types of hair can and will lock. It's up to you and me as your loctician to figure out which Locking method can give you look you want for your specific hair type. I will explore different hair types and discuss the most effective Locking methods to obtain dreadlocks for each type of hair.

KINKY HAIR or 3C to 4C

These curl patterns range from S-pattern to Coil to Z

3C, 4A or S-patterns benefits most from a combination of comb twists and crocheting to help hair to mat and lock properly. Interlocking is also very useful for this hair texture

4B or Coil patterns locks best with comb twists or double strand twists

4C or Z-patterns can lock easily with simple comb twist or double strand twists

CURLY HAIR or 3A to 3B

These loose curl patterns will lock best with crocheting and palm rolling.

WAVY HAIR or 2A to 2C

These wavy patterns will lock with a combination of backcombing, crocheting, and palm rolling.

STRAIGHT HAIR or 1A to 1C

These straight hair textures lock best with crocheting and back combing.

Together we will come up with the perfect technique to help you realize your dreadlocking dreams.
